Our Team

Mark Whitney, L.P.C.

Hello! I provide counseling services for individuals, couples, and groups. Through my own experience as a client, I know how daunting it can be to find a therapist that is a good fit. Please don't heistate to contact me if you have any questions. You can contact me using the form below.

Mark's areas of focus include:

  • Walking with couples through relationship stress and creating a new way of being together
  • Helping individuals engage in intentional, authentic and meaningful relationships
  • Using personality assessments, such as the Enneagram, MBTI, or NEO-PI, to assist clients in building self-awareness of how their unique personality impacts the ways in which they relate to the world around them.
  • Working to assist clients in identifying areas of toxic thinking, believing, and/or behaving that get in the way of achieving their goals
  • Guiding clients through issues of compulsivity or addiction in the areas of pornography, video games, food, and social media.

A little about me:

I am a native of Colorado and love living in this beautiful state. I have a Master’s degree in Community Counseling and have been working clients for over10 year. I currently live in Littleton with my beautiful family and their cat and dog. I love to take advantage of Colorado's beautiful days by doing things like strolling around the park, hiking, snowboarding, road biking, and getting lost on long drives. I also enjoy reading non-fiction, taking in a good movie, and people watching.

Why I'm a Counselor

My passion as a counselor is to help my clients create a life of authenticity, intentionality, and connection. My biggest desire is to simply be a catalyst for the restorative work in my clients’ lives. My own experience as a client challenged me to engage with the positive and negative thoughts, feelings, and behaviors that informed how I experienced the world.  Without judgment, my counselors allowed me to bring “all of me” to the table and stop running from the things in my life that brought about so much shame and guilt. I sifted through the “junk” in my life and faced many of my fears for the first time. This process brought about a clearer picture of who I am and why I'm here. I began purposley living from these truths and discovered new gifts and passions, one of which is to help others experience the same type of freedom I have each time I've engaged in counseling. This is why I am a counselor!
